Gamble Gold. When I say a long, long time ago, I really mean a long, long time ahead, for this story has not really happened yet, but it will happen. For, of course, if I was not sure that it was going to be a true story some day, I should not tell But you will find before -you reach the end of it, that this is just as true as any story I ever wrote and now and then it is more so. Gamble Gold was a little boy of seven, and be lived with his grandmother in far Glen Guile, which is in the Highlands of Scotland.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book tells the story of Gamble Gold, a seven-year-old boy who lives in the Scottish Highlands with his grandmother. The author uses a whimsical, almost fantastical tone to describe Gamble's world, where fairies are real and the moon is made of green cheese. Gamble is a precocious and imaginative child, who dreams of grand adventures and achieving great things. He longs to be a king and set out to make the world a happier place. The story also features Krab the Cave Man, an eccentric figure who serves as Gamble's godfather and offers him guidance on his journey toward adulthood. Through Gamble's journey, the author explores the complexities of childhood, the power of imagination, and the importance of kindness and compassion in a world that can often be challenging and confusing. The book ultimately celebrates the innocent wonder and potential of childhood as a force for good.
