Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book presents a detailed collection of documents concerning national property or biens nationaux in the Loire-Infà rieure, a region in western France. These documents have been gathered from the departmental archives and provide invaluable insights into the management, sale, and administration of national property during the revolutionary and Napoleonic eras. The book covers various aspects related to the management of national property, including the confiscation of property belonging to the clergy, à migrà s, and those condemned during the Revolution. It sheds light on the processes involved in the sale of this property, the debates surrounding its disposition, and the challenges faced by the authorities in managing these vast assets. Furthermore, the book examines the impact of national property sales on the social and economic landscape of the Loire-Infà rieure. It explores the consequences for former owners, the emergence of new property owners, and the transformations in landownership patterns. By delving into these documents, the author brings to life the complex and multifaceted nature of national property management during this pivotal period in French history. This book serves as a valuable resource for scholars, historians, and anyone interested in understanding the social, economic, and political dynamics of the French Revolution and its aftermath.
