Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This educational treatise presents the philosophies and methods underpinning the New-York High-School. Published in 1825, its insights reflect early 19th-century understandings of pedagogical theory. The author, an educational professional, comprehensively outlines the school's mission, curriculum, and teaching methods, from its preparatory department up to its senior classes. A major component of the book lies in discussing the theories and practices of mutual instruction, pioneered by Joseph Lancaster. It covers the history of the method, its advantages, and the extent of its application in a variety of global contexts. The work also presents a nuanced view of the state of education in the United States, providing an informative look into the developments of American schooling during this period. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9780259262329_0
