Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book examines the relationship between the counts of Foix and the Catalonia region in the 11th to 14th centuries. Through their proximity to Catalonia, its historical ties to the south of France, and its shared religious hierarchy with the region, the counts of Foix began to forge political alliances with Catalonia and its ruling families. The author explores these relationships, beginning with the marriage of the count of Barcelona to the daughter of the count of Carcassonne in the late 10th century, and ending with the acquisition of baronies in Catalonia by the counts of Foix in the 14th century. By tracing the historical evolution of these relationships, the author provides insight into the complex interplay of politics, religion, and geography that shaped the medieval world. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N de rf. du vendeur 9780259299721_0
