This 18th century book is comprised of miscellaneous writings containing the author's research into agricultural best practices and methods to increase farm output. The author intended this book to be the start of a larger work, ultimately outlining scientifically backed methods to improve farming outcomes. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the author was unable to complete the project. This book contains the author's early experiments and findings on the nutritional make-up of various plants, which the author hoped farmers could use to optimize their livestock's diets for better yields. The author also attempted to identify which plants were more compatible as livestock feed when cut and dried as opposed to being fed fresh from the earth. They also discuss which plants or plant types were incompatible with different animals. Though not as comprehensive as the author intended, this book offers readers a comprehensive look into the science of farming in the 18th century, along with a trove of practical farming tips and insights from the author's personal experiments.
