Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is an academic lecture written in 1859 arguing for the value of homeopathic medicine. The author, a homeopathic professor at the Homeopathic Medical College of Missouri, was one of the first homeopaths to practice in the United States. The lecture is a response to an address given by an allopathic medical professor at the same college, in which the allopathic doctor argued that homeopathy was an irrational practice that went against common sense. The homeopathic professor argues that homeopathy is based on the scientific method and has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of illnesses. He also argues that allopathic medicine, which is based on the opposite principle of using large doses of medicine to produce symptoms that are the opposite of the symptoms of the illness, is actually more dangerous and less effective than homeopathy. The lecture is a valuable historical document that provides insight into the early development of homeopathy in the United States, and it also offers a clear and concise explanation of the principles of homeopathy. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
