Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is a compilation of diagrams, tables, and text material assembled by the Institute for Basic Standards to show the relationships between various radio frequency measurements. These measurements are those leading to services provided to the public or to other government agencies, including not only calibrations made for fees, but also the broadcast services of the four NBS radio stations. Measurements made as part of the IBS research and development program are not included. The information within is designed to give users and potential users of the radio frequency services a clearer understanding of the measurement output of IBS in this field. Generally, the sequence of measurements leading to an output calibration or other service is shown by measurement flow charts. The uncertainties given in Report of Calibration are presented and typical values of random errors are listed along with known or suspected sources of bias error. Error flow diagrams are included to show more explicitly the way the various sources of uncertainty enter the measurement chain. The author has made every attempt to explain notations and terms used to ensure a clear understanding of the content by a diverse audience. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
