Marcus Foth, Founder and Director of the Urban Informatics Research Lab, is Professor in Interactive and Visual Design, School of Design, Creative Industries Faculty, at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.

Laura Forlano is Associate Professor of Design at the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology, where she is also Director of the Critical Futures Lab. She is the coeditor of From Social Butterfly to Engaged Citizen (MIT Press).

Christine Satchell is Senior Research Fellow at the Urban Informatics Research Lab.

Martin Gibbs is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Melbourne.

Judith Donath is a Faculty Fellow at Harvard University's Berkman Center for Internet and Society and a Visiting Scholar at MIT's Program in Science, Technology, and Society.

Paul Dourish is Chancellor's Professor of Informatics in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He is the author of Where the Action Is: The Foundations of Embodied Interaction and coauthor of Divining a Digital Future: Mess and Mythology in Ubiquitous Computing, both published by the MIT Press.

Jaz Hee-jeong Choi is Deputy Director of the Urban Informatics Research Lab and ARC Australian Postdoctoral Fellow (Industry) at Queensland University of Technology, Australia.

Rich Ling is Professor at the IT University of Copenhagen, Senior Research Scientist at the Telenor Research Institute near Oslo, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan. He is the author of New Tech, New Ties: How Mobile Communication Is Reshaping Social Cohesion (MIT Press, 2008).

Germaine R. Halegoua is Associate Professor in the Department of Film and Media Studies at the University of Kansas.
