He is the author of The Mind's Arrows: Bayes Nets and Graphical Causal Models in Psychology (MIT Press), Galileo in Pittsburgh, and other books.

Richard Scheines is Dean of Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Carnegie Mellon.
