Excerpt from Supplemental Report, Auditor of State: Detailed Statemen of Salaries and Wages of All State Officers and Employes, Together With Traveling Expenses, for the Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 1918
The expenditures of the departments of government have smee been published in the Auditor's annual reports in accordance with the budget classifications by departments.
Economic conditions being abnormal by reason of the war, the state auditor believes it proper to publish a supplemental report at this time, setting up the compensation, traveling expenses and length of service of each employe in the state government for the fiscal year. Many de mands will be made on the general assembly for increases in salaries and this report will aid in adjusting the salaries and wages of state employes.
This report shows that for the fiscal year there were two thousand employes that worked a full year, and three thousand one hundred and eighty-eight who worked from one day to eleven months. Column three shows how long each employe worked for the state. This report does not show the amounts paid to inmate and transient labor of the twenty state institutions under the Board of Administration. The last item under each state institution shows a total for such minor employes.
