Quatrième de couverture

Managing Information Systems: An Organisational Perspective is an ideal guide to dealing with the challenges and opportunities involved in the management of computer-based information systems. It contains a wealth of experience showing why some managers have succeeded in their information systems projects, and why others have failed. This book uses extensive original research by the authors and related theory to present a coherent perspective on the management of computer-based information systems. It is organised into four logically related parts, dealing with: information systems and organisations, strategy, organising and implementing. The book is intended for practising managers, especially those studying on MBA and similar courses. It includes many real-life case studies, which will enable readers to be more confident in handling similar situations, and to avoid the common pitfalls of information system projects.
