David Alexander is Professor of Accounting at the University of Birmingham Business School, England. Christopher Nobes is PricewaterhouseCooper's Professor of Accounting at the University of Reading, England. From 1993 to 2001 he was a representative on the board of the International Accounting Standards Committee.
