He was, for eleven years, a very successful dean of the ASU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Dr. Krahenbuhl also served a term as president of the 570-member Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences and served for five years as the Convener (like the President) of the Council for the Arts and Sciences in Urban Universities. He is now a higher education consultant.
