A 'one-stop shop' for churches considering the admission of children to Holy Communion The Church of England has allowed the admission of baptised children to Holy Communion before confirmation since 1997 but currently only about 20% of parishes currently do so. The book also includes theological reflection on children and the Eucharist from Michael Perham and considers the impact of receiving Holy Communion on children's discipleship.

Nick Harding is Children's Work Adviser for the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham and the author of a number of books on worship in churches and schools. Revd Dr Sandra Millar is Head of Projects and Development for the Church of England and was previously Adviser for Children and Families in Gloucester Diocese. She is the author of Festivals Together and Worship Together (SPCK, 2012).
