Synopsis
Which is the true Messiah - the peace-loving preacher of the Sermon on the Mount, or the sword-wielding warrior of the book of Revelation? And how can both be in the same Bible? John Dominic Crossan is Professor Emeritus at De Paul University. He is the author of several bestselling books, including The Historical Jesus (T&T Clark 1992) and The Greatest Prayer (SPCK 2011).
