Excerpt from Evolution at the Bar
Our design, in writing these pages (originally pre pared for use in the compilation of a Bible Cyclopedia by the Bible Union of China) was to set forth the main features of the theory of Evolution in such a way as to make it easy to be understood by the unlearned. The exponents of science and philosophy usually adopt a style and vocabulary which effectually hide their meaning from the common people, and which are well calculated to produce the impression that the subjects they discuss are too mysterious and profound to be understood by any but the few who (like them selves) are gifted with intellects of a superior order, and possessed of knowledge unattainable by the ordi nary man.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book explores the controversial theory of evolution, a scientific idea that has sparked heated debate for centuries. The author, a former believer in materialism, challenges the theory from a perspective informed by his faith in Jesus Christ. The book delves into the fundamental claims of evolution, examining both the supposed cosmic evolution of the universe and the more specific organic evolution of living organisms. The author dissects the core assumptions of evolutionary theory, scrutinizing the gaps in scientific understanding that evolutionists struggle to explain. He analyzes the supposed evidence for evolution, including the development of embryos and the fossil record, ultimately finding them lacking in conclusive support. He offers a compelling counter-argument rooted in the immutability of species, arguing that the observed stability of life forms over vast periods of time contradicts the central tenets of evolutionary theory. The book stands as a testament to the enduring power of faith and reason in the face of scientific claims that seem to challenge the foundations of belief. It offers a thoughtful and carefully reasoned examination of evolution, ultimately challenging the reader to reconsider the nature of scientific knowledge and the validity of evolutionary theory. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
