This book is a simplified guide to Persian grammar, and is based on the author's many years of experience in teaching Farsi. It is part of a three-part series of simplified Hindustani, Persian, and Arabic Grammars written by the same author, each of which may be studied independently as a separate volume, or together as a series. This book is unique in that it presents Persian Grammar in a non-technical form, offering a method for learners to acquire a rapid mastery of the language. The author achieves this by systematically comparing the Persian language with both Hindustani, which is the language intermediary between Persian and Urdu, and Arabic, which provides a deeper understanding of Persian syntax and helps the reader learn the bulk of Persian verbs, nouns and other grammatical constructions. The pedagogical method is simple and direct. All nouns are given in both their nominative and oblique forms, and all verbs are given in their infinitive and present participial forms. Over 2,000 Persian words are defined in the English-Persian dictionary that forms the second part of this book. This dictionary contains the most common Persian words, which are given in both their singular and plural forms to further aid the reader.
