Biographie de l'auteur

Oscar Bie (geboren am 9. Februar 1864 in Breslau, gestorben am 21. April 1938 in Berlin). Er war ein deutscher Musik- und Kunsthistoriker und Publizist. Von 1894 bis 1922 leitete er die Neue Deutsche Rundschau (vormals Freie B�hne, sp�ter Neue Rundschau). Sie entwickelte sich unter seiner Redaktion zu einer der f�hrenden kulturellen Monatszeitschrift Deutschlands. Als Opern-, Musik- und Kunstkritiker war er f�r den Berliner B�rsen-Courier und die Weltb�hne t�tig. 1901 wurde Oscar Bie zum Professor ernannt und lehrte seit 1921 �sthetik an der Musikhochschule Berlin. Als j�discher Autor erhielt er nach 1933 Publikationsverbot, seine B�cher durften nicht mehr neu aufgelegt werden.
