Improved Longhand, having a phonetic alphabet, is easily learned and can be written quickly, using scientifically-designed up-and-down strokes that connect seamlessly and do not require the lifting of the pen. The book includes 12 plates illustrating the method of Improved Longhand, contains an appendix providing a classification of letters, and concludes with a list of common proverbs written in Improved Longhand.
