Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book provides an insight into parish records from the historic period of 1558-1657, detailing over a century of baptisms and marriages within the ecclesiastical parish of Snaith, a large parish in the West Riding of Yorkshire. The records are a unique record of life in this region of England during the Tudor and Stuart periods. The parish of Snaith included the townships of Armin, Balne, Carlton, Cowick, Goole, Gowdall, Heck, Hensall, Hooke, Pollington, and Rawcliffe, so the families recorded here resided in one of those areas. Furthermore, many of the entries have been annotated by later vicars of Snaith, providing additional historical context and insights into the lives of the people named. For family and local historians, the records provide a unique opportunity to explore the lives of their ancestors. Almost every individual mentioned in the text is named in the context of a family group, providing unique insights into their relationships with each other. The records are a valuable resource for anyone interested in genealogy, local history, or the social and cultural history of England during this period. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9780282984236_0
