Etat : Very Good. 349pp. (Black spine) 1994. First edition. Scarce and sought after. A lovely, fresh looking, clean, tight very good minus copy in near fine jacket. A printer's flaw (I don't think I have ever seen this before in almost 20 years of book dealing!) has bound the first 31 pages of this book again (though the front endpaper and half-title page are only found at the rear) at the rear of the text block so the book should finish on page 349, but it doesn't but instead finished on page 31 which acts as the rear paste-down. The front lacks the paste-down (looks more or less correct - the rear of the half-title page) and a front endpaper. There is no loss of text so you can read the book without any issues and the look on the shelf is unchanged as the jacket, which has not been price-clipped only has slight shelf wear and remains in very good condition. The book has sound hinges and does not lean. Pages are lightly toned but clean without creases, marks, stains or wrinkles. Outer covers and spine are also clean but there are two tiny spots on the outer page edges (fore-edge) of the book. Cover corners are each lightly bumped at the tips. The book's dust jacket is just-like-new and has been put in a clear archival sleeve to keep it in pristine condition. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) PayPal always welcome.
