The boards are clean and unmarked - just slightly faded at the top of the spine. Corners sharp. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Page block edges nice and clean. Internally also near fine, but with a previous owner's name in ink and with her very attractive bookplate affixed to the front free endpaper (please see scans). Very light offsetting to the front and rear endpapers. Internal pages clean with no foxing. No creases or tears. ***In a near fine colour-illustrated dustwrapper, which has been neatly price-clipped to the bottom corner of the front flap. The dustwrapper is otherwise complete, with just some light rubbing to the edges, and slight creasing at the edges, mainly at the top of the back panel. No serious creases, chips or tears. Back panel and inner flaps of dustwrapper just slightly browned (being a plain white background). Dustwrapper otherwise crisp and bright. ***222mm x 142mm. 159 pages including an Epilogue at the back of the book. ***'When Borges visited Harvard University in 1967-68 he created great and genuine excitement both as a literary hero and as the charming, enchanting, fascinating person that he is. The visit occasioned this book and his conversations with Richard Burgin, at the time a mere undergraduate, show us the man and his genius in perfect accord --- [the conversations] provide us with a fascinating insight into what lies behind his literary intelligence.'
