After an active service career with the Royal Armoured Corps, and inspired by the stories of George Alfred Henty, Bryan Perrett took up a career as military historian and writer of popular narrative histories. His many books, all founded on meticulous research, find a wide and enthusiastic readership. Bryan Perett lives in Ormskirk, Lancashire
