Does evidence that there was once water on Mars mean that it could have been - and could still be now - a home for life? Does the existence of stars like our Sun mean that life could exist on the planets surrounding them? In this title, John Gribbin and Simon Goodwin show how the world's experts are searching for life in space, and why they could be just around the corner from finding it. Illustrated with a range of photographs and state-of-the-art graphics, this book is about life itself: under what conditions it can develop and survive, how it might evolve to be intelligent, where it may exist in the universe and how we could come to find it.
