In the following pages we will help illuminate a fundamental truth that so often goes unexplored—that we are, each of us, given a unique Gift, a purpose in our life that is always seeking to express itself. Uncovering, nurturing, and allowing the miracle of your Gift to flourish enables you to experience joy, power, fulfillment, freedom, and unconditional love. This may sound like an extravagant promise but we have seen the power of this discovery in our own lives and in the lives of others.  What we hope to show you, though, is not that there are superpowers available to you through some exotic practice.  Instead, there is a simple path within each of us that will lead you back to your true self—this is where your Gift dwells.  Even though the concept of each person having distinct purpose in the universe is familiar, being able to find and develop one’s Gift has never been fully explored and explained as it is here.  

In each step of the journey you are about to embark upon we will share examples from our own experience as well as the insights of the many transformational teachers and spiritual leaders who have joined us in this project, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Mark Victor Hansen, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Barbara De Angelis, Lucia De Garcia, Jack Canfield, Marianne Williamson, Sonia Powers, and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

We have a special bond as brother and sister but (as is no doubt also true of your life) we have had to endure some pretty bad times along the way. As children we both suffered from intense psychological abuse inflicted by certain family members as well as from being sexually abused by people outside our family. At the ages of twelve and fourteen we lost our mother in a horrific car accident, our home to a raging fire, and our step-father to drugs, alcohol, and another woman. Ultimately we even lost each other to the pain, anger, and confusion that we were left to deal with on our own.
We survived.  In time we would rediscover each other and re-create our family because of an extraordinarily powerful transformation.  Today we are members of a family fully wrapped in unconditional love and support, more than ever before connected to each other, our family, and even the universe. Discover the Gift is the result of these profound experiences. 

The book goes into depth providing suggestions for your personal practice that will help you see new possibilities in your life.  Since everything is energy, a good understanding of how energy works

in and throughout the universe is essential to your practice.  You’ll come to understand how it operates according to certain universal spiritual laws and principles.

Though a great deal of attention has been focused on the Law of Attraction in recent years, it is vitally important to recognize that other equally important laws that govern our existence have been ignored.  It is our humble intention to show that all universal laws and principles (including Vibration, Attraction, Reciprocity, Abundance, Energy, and Unconditional Love) need to work together for a life of harmony and balance.  When we recognize the combination of forces at work in our lives we can better connect with a unified field of consciousness, something we call the Infinity Feedback Loop of Creation.  What you put into this unified field is what you will in turn receive from it.

Each chapter ahead will take you step by step through this journey of discovery, fully explaining what we mean by your “Gift,” showing how your mind, emotions, and conditioning can slow down your spiritual growth, how to discover your own unique Gift, the necessity of  sharing your Gift with others, why Energy and Adversity are so important in this process, how you are working toward one Ultimate Gift, and finally how the whole world can be affected by each of our inner worlds.  

When you discover and share who you truly are, it inspires others to do the same and a cycle is continued.  Everyone becomes an active player in the planetary shift in consciousness and the creation of a compassionate world.
