Dan Baker, Ph.D., was one of the original developers of Canyon Ranch and has been director of the award-winning Life Enhancement Program there for 15 years. He is the author of books including What Happy People Know and What Happy Women Know.

He has been editor of The Journal of Health Science; editor-in-chief of The Journal of the Nutritional Academy; a columnist for Natural Health, American Film, L.A. Business, and California Business; and his articles have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Esquire, People, The Saturday Evening Post, Prevention, Good Housekeeping, among others.
