Melinda Roth has worked as a state political correspondent and feature writer for the St. Louis Riverfront Times and as the education reporter for the Edwardsville Intelligencer. Raised in the Chicagoland area, she has three children and two rescued dogs.

Michael W. Fox has been called "American's best known veterinarian." Author of over a dozen books on animals and holistic subjects, Dr. Fox also provides advice in his Q&A column, "Animal Doctor" (nationally syndicated by United Media), which appears twice a week. He lives in Minneapolis, MN.
