Excerpt from Computer Program for Ionospheric Mapping by Numerical Methods
A solution has recently been given to the problem of representing the complex variations of ionospheric char acteristics on a world-wide scale, including their diurnal variation, by numerical ysis of ionospheric data as measured at a network of stations [jones and Gallet, l962a]. The present paper describes the ibm 7090 (fap) program of the methods of numerical mapping referred to above.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book provides a detailed scientific explanation of the mathematical and computer programming techniques used to compute and map ionospheric characteristics. Specifically, it covers the methods used to develop and analyze ionospheric data collected from a network of stations around the world. By using these methods, the author translates complex variations in ionospheric data into numerical maps. These maps reveal the global distribution of ionospheric characteristics and their diurnal variation. Ultimately, the techniques in this book are the basis for a new series of Central Radio Propagation Laboratory Ionospheric Predictions. The book is written for two audiences: readers wanting to apply the described program as it stands and those wanting to use the program with modifications. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9780331048391_0
