Synopsis
Sidney Weintraub once described himself as a "Jevonian Seditionist", as someone who was continually contesting received ideas and opinions. The contributors to the essays in this book admired Weintraub for this attribute of his character, as well as for his originality as a theorist and policy-maker. The essays in this collection cover a wide range of topics but they all touch the main theme of crucial importance he accorded to inflation and income distribution in understanding the process of the development of capitalism.
