This is a dictionary of information technology containing over 7800 entries, which attempts to explain data processing, communications, office systems, information systems, micro-electronics, graphics, printing and consumer electronics. Over 150 diagrams accompany the text for further clarity and an extended cross-referencing system aims to enable the reader to gain additional insight into the principles of IT. An earlier edition won an award from American Library Association.
