Synopsis
Structural Mechanics has become, in the last ten years, an extremely successful, and widely adopted text for first year students of Engineering and Building.
This second edition has been extended to cover the major part of the Structural Mechanics/Analysis syllabuses of most Civil Engineering courses up to the end of second year level. Five new programmes have been added, and other sections modified, to make this the premier text in its field. Using a distinctive programmed learning format, it allows the student to work at their own pace, and assess their progress through the use of carefully constructed questions and graded practical problems. In this updated form, Structural Mechanics, Second Edition, will continue to meet the needs of a further generation of students.

À propos de l?auteur
RAY HULSE is Deputy Dean of the School of the Built Environment at Coventry University. An experienced teacher and writer, he has co-authored several other texts for Macmillan, including Reinforced Concrete Design, fifth edition (with W.H. Mosely and J.H. Bungey), published in 1999.
JACK CAIN was formerly Principle Lecturer and Course Leader for the Civil Engineering degree course at Coventry University.
