Professor Clayton leads a double life. He is happily married, but there is another woman and also a teenage son who learns that the person he calls ‘uncle’ is actually his father. Now, Clayton is being blackmailed, but is determined not to give in and approaches Inspector Roger West of Scotland Yard for help. It is important that those behind the threat do not succeed. West has to battle a vicious motorcycle gang and at the same time dodge danger to himself and protect others as he fights to prevent the truth being revealed.

Original Cloth. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. Bellman, Kaye (illustrateur). First Edition. Boards have a light bump to the top rear corner and a small dent in the centre of the rear panel. Page edges have a few dark marks. A little browning to the endpapers with one small mark to the top corner of the front free endpaper. The pages are otherwise unmarked with a slight musty smell. The price-clipped jacket has a four inch long tear running diagonally across the front panel to the top right hand corner, a little chipping to the top and bottom of the spine and browning to the flaps and the rear panel.
