Alors, imaginez son désespoir : un beau matin, Jon lui sert une carotte crue et le frigo est cadenassé. ce qui le pousse à élaborer un plan audacieux : il attache Odie à une branche d'arbre. Comme ça, Jon appelle les pompiers, qui feront (peut-être) un saut à la pizzeria en passant. Et puis voilà qu'il s'inquiète en découvrant qu'il n'a pas ronronné depuis fort longtemps. Un chat heureux ronronne, non ? Serait-il un chat malheureux ? Cette idée le déprime complètement. dieu merci, un bon coup de pied dans le derrière d'Odie, et la machine à ronron repart. Ouf, on a eu peur.
