James Goodchild was awarded his doctorate in Modern History at the University of Exeter in May 2013. During his studies in Devon, he taught Modern History at both the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth. His research interests and subsequent peer-reviewed article publications have explored the 20th century inter-relationship between science, intelligence, war and the State. He is currently teaching Modern History at a reputable sixth form college in Yorkshire, and is also in the process of completing his second book on the scientific and technological developments of the First World War.

paperback. Etat : Good. Most Secret War is R. V. Jonesâs gripping insider account of Britainâs scientific intelligence operations during the Second World War, charting how radar, counter-espionage, and technological deception shaped the conflict. As Churchillâs chief scientific intelligence officer, Jones reveals the battles fought not on the front line but in laboratories, code rooms, and briefing chambers, where small breakthroughs often carried enormous strategic weight. His narrative blends technical clarity with sharp humour and vivid storytelling, offering unmatched insight into the minds and methods behind Britainâs secret war. A desirable Coronet edition for collectors of WWII intelligence history, scientific espionage, and classic wartime memoirs. N° de réf. du vendeur mon0001644887
