The material has been completely revised and updated to take account of syllabus changes as well as all those in the legal system, and provides a broad-based modern introduction to law. A balance is kept between discussion of theoretical principles and legal problems, and analysis and description of substantive law, constitutional, criminal, contract and tort. Interrelations between areas of law are also highlighted, and particluar attention is given to problems encountered by courts in interpreting Acts of Parliament.
