Synopsis
This is the first book in a new series of resource books written for the revised Higher Grade in geography. It is written to cover the application "development and health" and the associated core area "population". The case studies and enquiry-based approach make this book suitable for A-level syllabuses, allowing students to develop an understanding of the concepts and issues involved in the topics of development and health in developing countries. What is meant by development, ways of measuring development, theories and applications are considered alongside a range of case studies. Population structure and change, migration and health are also investigated with the aid of a strong range of case studies.
