Synopsis
This integrated post-A-Level, post-Higher French language course for students beginning higher education, comprises ten chapters on contemporary French topics. Each chapter contains three texts from the French press or French literature; suggestions for class activities; presentation of five areas of grammar with spoken and written exercises for individual and class work; and suggestions for spoken and written coursework assignments. Work on texts is integrated with work on grammar, and the grammar points are all taken from the texts themselves. Activities, grammar explanations and exercises are all in French, with many of the exercises suitable for self-study. The material is contemporary and of lasting interest. David Nott is the co-author of "Actualites Francais".
