Synopsis

Sally Trench's task was to get children out of the war-torn country and adopted by British and American families, or failing that, to get food, medicine and other supplies into the worst affected areas. À propos de l'auteur

In 1968, Sally Trench immortalised her teenage experience of living and working with men and women 'on the road' in BURY ME IN MY BOOTS, which sold over a million copies in fifteen languages. She used the proceeds to set up Project Spark for disadvantaged teenagers which, in 1991, turned its attention to Bosnia. Out of this experience came her documentary novel, FRAN'S WAR. Sally has been named an 'Unsung Hero' by the Celebrities Guild of Great Britain in 1992, and Catholic Woman of the Year in 1995. She has two grown up sons and lives in Oxfordshire.
