Aimed at Higher tier candidates, this book more than adequately covers most of the material required by separate science Physics students. The book is a great improvement upon previous editions, with excellent diagrams and clear concise explanations.

The addition of websites seems an excellent step forward, and whilst some will inevitably change within the life of this book, those sites which don't change will add a new dimension to teaching and learning. An ample supply of questions litter the text, with a good bank of examination standard questions at the end of each chapter.

This is a well thought-out general physics text which is colourful, clear and well presented.
