It covers four areas of study: number, algebra, shape and space, and statistics and probability. Worked examples are followed by exercises with practice questions. Each core section has two short-answer assessments, and each extended section has two short-answer and two structured-question assessments, corresponding to Papers 1-4 of the examination.

Ric Pimentel and Terry Wall are experienced authors and teachers who have run teacher training courses; both have experience of international teaching.
