Synopsis

This new course has been written to engage pupils in the study of science and to show how it can be used to answer questions about themselves and the world around them. The Y7 book consolidates work at Level 5 within the broader contexts required by Key Stage 3, the Y8 book moves them on to Level 6 and the Y9 book takes them to Level 7. This is done through developing their scientific knowledge and language and introducing more abstract ideas and knowledge. The Dynamic Learning CD-ROM attached to the pupil's book contains a digital version of the textbook plus additional resources such as extended reading material, animations and spreadsheet activities.

The pupil's book is supported by a printed teacher's guide containing lesson plans and teacher's and technician's notes with a CD-ROM of editable worksheets. There is also a network Dynamic Learning CD-ROM. This contains a digital version of the textbook, all the material on the pupil's CD-ROM, the teacher's guide and worksheets plus a wide range of additional, multimedia resources including simulations, video and interactive activities as well as Word documents.
