No particular bumping or wear to corners or edges. Spine is intact and bright with just a little mild bumping to ends. Just a couple of spots of foxing to page edges. Textblock is pretty good, considering its age, but has a few creases and grubby marks associated with use. 164 pp. Pictoral glazed paper dust jacket with white lettering to spine and front. The material for the book is drawn from the siege log and letters of the author's father ( who was a sixteen-year old midshipman at the time ) and those of three other officers. The Siege of Ladysmith was a protracted engagement in the Second Boer War, taking place between 2 November 1899 and 28 February 1900 at Ladysmith, Natal.
