Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book provides a comprehensive guide to the Third Order of St. Francis, a religious organization founded in 1221 by St. Francis of Assisi. It starts off by outlining the Franciscan worldview of spirituality, and the lifestyle and practices of those who join the organization and live under its rule. There is an explanation of key concepts in the Rule of Life such as the concepts of fraternal correction, how to have the right intention, the value of silence and much more. The author draws upon the founding documents and constitutions of the order to explain their practices, the practice of the vow of poverty, chastity and obedience, and how this is observed in their daily lives. The book also provides details on the process of becoming a member and includes prayers, rituals and devotions used by the members of this order. The book is not dry recitation of rules but brings these to life with anecdotes, stories and the words of St. Francis himself so that the reader can discover the richness of the Franciscan spirituality. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N de rf. du vendeur 9780365414155_0
