Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book presents a detailed graphical visualization of the mean quiet ionosphere data collected by the Central Radio Propagation Laboratory using a novel calculation method introduced by the author. The data represents the first of a series of monthly electron density profiles calculated from vertical soundings performed at five field stations along the 75th West geographic meridian. The book includes hourly cross-sections of the ionosphere along this meridian, and maps showing the local time vs latitude distribution of electron densities at fixed levels in the ionosphere. The text also includes electron density vs time curves showing diurnal electron density variations, which are significant for applications ranging from satellite tracking to radar moon-echoes. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
