Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book provides weight, stem, and volume equations and tables for estimating total-tree and tree-component attributes of plantation-grown loblolly and slash pines of the Southeastern United States. Total-tree and tree-component equations are available for naturally occurring pines. Tables are presented for Ioblolly and shortleaf pines growing in natural stands in the Piedmont and for Ioblolly, slash, and longleaf pines growing in natural stands in the Coastal Plain. The author also provides tables for planted Ioblolly pines in the Piedmont and planted slash pines in the Coastal Plain. The equations and tables were developed from data collected in several studies conducted by the USDA Forest Service Southeastern Forest Experiment Station in cooperation with forest industries, the Georgia Forestry Commission, and the University of Georgia. The author presents regression equations that predict pine component weights and volumes using the independent variables diameter at breast height, total height, and height to a 4 inch diameter outside bark top. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9780365881674_0
