The data is presented in a series of tables that cover sales from 1959 to 1960 and include total revenue, therm sales, and the average number of customers for each class of service. The study's insights reveal that although sales of gas to residential customers decreased in 1960, both revenue and therm sales increased for the industrial sector, contributing to an overall rise in total gas sales. The author concludes that while residential customers account for nearly half of all customers, they only generate around one-seventh of total revenue and one-twelfth of the total therms sold.
