Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is a beautifully illustrated overview of human anatomy. It features an atlas of 105 full-page anatomical plates, each with numerous detailed illustrations and labels. Detailed regional anatomy is presented in each of eight sections, covering muscles, nerves, bones, and other systems, and a final section on topography makes a total of 510 full-page plates. The plates themselves are reproductions of those produced by the author, an esteemed and experienced anatomist, between 1830 and 1860, using carefully applied colors to illustrate the relevant structures and tissues. While the book's age means that some medical details may be out of date, and some of the plates are surprisingly graphic, the illustrations remain highly accurate and valuable. Altogether, the atlas plates serve as both an excellent general introduction to human anatomy and an indispensable reference for scholars, artists, and anyone else interested in this field. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
