Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book investigates the increased wear rates of engine components due to abrasive particles in coal-fueled diesel engines. The author presents a two-pronged approach, analyzing the nature of the coal-fuel related particles and conducting laboratory wear tests to determine the effects of various coal-fuel related particles, including the unburned coal-fuel, mineral matter particles extracted from coal, and particles associated with the combustion of coal-fuel. Different types of particles, such as quartz, Al2O3, and MgO, were studied to determine the influence of particle hardness and size. Additional tests were carried out using well-characterized particles of several different types to study the effect of materials properties on wear rate. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9780366856725_0
