Her research interests include discourse analysis, language education, and translation studies. She has contributed to multiple Routledge Handbooks, including: The Routledge Handbook of Chinese Applied Linguistics, The Routledge Handbook of Chinese Discourse Analysis, and The Routledge Handbook of Chinese Language Teaching.
