They were as different as sun and moon ...
Jenny Mowry believed she could handle any complications that might arise on her archaeological assignment in Egypt.
But she hadn't anticipated that two dynamic men would pursue her from the moment she arrived. Powerful Sheikh Abdul Jerada - darkly handsome, openly passionate - clearly wanted Jenny's love.
Peter Donas was as elusive, as seductive as the golden desert sands. His kiss was fire; his very touch burned into Jenny as intensely as the sun.
And what he wanted only he knew.
A lady friend gave me my copy of the audio of Willa Lambert's FROM THIS BELOVED HOUR. The gift-giver said to me, "Chad, you've traveled extensively in Egypt, so listen to this and tell me if its depiction of the locale comes across as well as I think it does." Which didn't exactly turn me on at the time. I've always considered romance books, entirely within the bailiwick of W-O-M-E-N. However, since the lady who gifted me the copy was one with whom I was out to make points, I eventually gritted my teeth, and after an ample supply of wine was already consumed, more on-the-ready, I began playing the dramatic reading by Denise Sutton Utter of Ms. Lambert's FROM THIS BELOVED HOUR. Over the next few days, I continued to play the tapes. My final conclusion: the audio book is good. And, in answer to my friend's original query: "Yes, the author has obviously been whereof she writes." I feel confident I can usually tell when an author has been on site, or whether the information comes from some encyclopedia, or from the internet. And, Ms. Lambert's grasp of Egypt and the desert, as far as I'm concerned, is right on the mark. If romance isn't your bag (as it still isn't mine), you can't beat this book for giving you the sense of "being there".
